With the PBKS vs DC match abandoned due to a security reason in Dharamsala, Punjab Kings missed the chance to go top of the IPL points table. Before the match was called off, PBKS posted 122/1 in 10.1 overs. However, PBKS are still in a strong position. With two matches left, all PBKS need is a win. 18 points will be enough to qualify for the IPL 2025 playoffs.
Two losses in the remaining matches will however knock PBKS out. PBKS will take on Mumbai Indians on May 11 in Ahmedabad and knocked out RR. Their match against MI will be a virtual knockout for the latter. Punjab can qualify if they win. But if they lose, they will have to beat Rajasthan Royals in their last match.
