India to hold first practice session before Asia Cup

As per RevSportz, Team India will have their first practice session at the ICC Academy in Dubai between 6 PM to 9.30 PM (local time). The Indian players reportedly arrived in different batches on Thursday. Some of the stars who are already in Dubai include captain Suryakumar Yadav, Shivam Dube, Kuldeep Yadav, Rinku Singh, Harshit Rana, Abhishek Sharma, Hardik Pandya, Shubman Gill, Sanju Samson, head coach Gautam Gambhir and batting coach Sitanshu Kotak.

Defending champions India will play the hosts, the United Arab Emirates, at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium on September 10. Unlike previous tournaments, the BCCI has directed all players to assemble directly in Dubai, skipping the customary preparatory camp in India. The Men in Blue have won the Asia Cup 8 times so far and will be looking to add another trophy to their cabinet. The tournament also marks the start of India’s preparations for the T20 World Cup which will be held in February 2026.
