Hanuma Vihari ha fatto un viaggio tumultuoso ad Andhra e potrebbe passare a Tripura per la prossima stagione domestica.
It is the season of transfers in domestic cricket, with the new year beginning soon. Now, as per a report in Cricbuzz, India and Andhra batter Hanuma Vihari has asked for an NOC. Although it is still not confirmed, but he might move to Tripura.
Hanuma Vihari to leave Andhra again
“I have been thinking about a switch. Tripura has been asking me for some time,” Vihari said. Meanwhile, Tripura has confirmed that he will be most likely be the captain of the side too, across formats. “We have recommended to the association a few names to sign as professionals. I cannot disclose the names but I know we are signing Vihari,” Tapan Lodh, a former president of the association said.
In the last few years, Hanuma Vihari has had a topsy-turvy journey in domestic cricket, where he moved to Andhra in 2016-17 season from Hyderabad, only to go back after two seasons. Then last year, a controversy hit him, when he was removed from captaincy, following political power.
Time to move to Tripura
His domestic career could be broken into two halves as of now. For Andhra, he went on to play 44 FC matches, where he scored 3013 runs at an average of 45, with four centuries and 20 fifties. Whereas for Hyderabad, he was excellent in 40 matches, and went on to score 3155 runs at an average of 57, with 10 centuries and 12 fifties.
He last played for India in 2022, and has played 16 Tests till now. He has managed to score 839 runs at an average of 33, with just one ton and five fifties.
