Jacob Bethell and Harry Brook played invaluable cameos, which were enough for England to get past 300 on the third-last ball of the match. “A score of 300? I never thought I’d see that; it was unbelievable,” Buttler said right after the first innings ended.

Salt also broke his own record for the highest individual T20I score by an Englishman. Interestingly, three of the four highest scores belong to him.
